Q-32 #2: THE PROFESSOR
Q-32 #2 COVER
EPISODE TWO NOW IN PRODUCTION
In this section of the site we'll put up information about the current comic in production as it develops. We'll intentionally not disclose too much.
As titled, in this episode, the Professor is introduced with character and identity revealed. The Aphrodite Society's big experiment is also revealed and we find out Vicki's fate. Will she become a Q‑Girl and what does that mean?
It starts off in the same location (see below) where Episode One finished and goes on from there. This episode has more action, drama and the horror intensifies as Vicki is taken through many situations she would rather not be in. We find out what's in store for her.
We meet a lot of the same characters and develop the broader picture of the Institute and it's hidden horrors.
But we're not going to tell you much more than that.
The fully furnished set of Level 3 of the Aphrodite Institute's building from Episode One. The scale can be seen with reference to the figure of Vicki in the center.
The basic empty set without props or characters. A lot of time goes into creating these 3D models.
A very rough layout graphic from a frame from Episode Two now in production. Note the graphic doesn't leave enough room at the top for the speech boxes. This is why we do rough mockups first. Another take of this scene is required to allow more space at the top. Of course this is nowhere near finished art. It's a very low‑rez production graphic punched out for speed and simple layout testing before doing the final lighting, final take and then the high‑rez finished art. Sometimes scenes require multiple takes before we get it right.
